Tyler / Master R. (b. 1997, Brooklyn, NY) is a queer artist whose work centers on shibari, the Japanese art of rope bondage. His practice explores the struggle and surrender that occurs in a rope bondage dynamic. Beyond performing at parties such a Latexxed, Sinners Shabbat, and Fascination Kink, he is a community educator and organizer, producing events such as Bound Affairs: A Living Shibari Gallery, Out Young N Kinky (OYNK) a monthly kink education panel, and Taught & Bound a Rope Study for Masculine Bodies. Tyler / Master R. currently teaches at MMX Yoga, Temple NYC, and serves as the instructor for shibari clubs at three colleges. His work and perspective have been profiled in Envy Magazine, Sensitive Content Magazine, and at Art Prism.
